ford 6610 rear oil seal

I read recently about changing out the seal.

Does anyone have info. on this project.

The seal is just beginning to leak, so it may be a good time to address it.

Tractor must be split to change the rear seal. If it's a newer model with the seal carrier you should also change the gasket on the carrier. If it's the older engine then just pull the seal with a dent puller.
I don't bother with the rear seal until I have to split the tractor for something else. Every Ford I've got has a leaking/weeping rear seal. They're always wet but I haven't had one wet the clutch yet. If it's only weeping now then that's about as good as they stay.... Lot of work to change for a short time gain.
