Anyone here use long distance calling cards. I've been using the AT&T calling card from Wally World for about the last three years and the advertising and the bla bla bla is getting worst while waiting for my call to go through. Just wondering if there's a better card available without all the yak yak yak.

I used to use the cards from SAM's and paid .0347 cents a minute. Don't use them anymore because the cell phone is so much cheaper. We have US Cellular on a national plan of 1400 minutes. Two of my sons are also on the plan. We talk between 9,000 & 10,000 minutes a month and don't even use half of our minutes. We pay about $132 per month and it usually figures about $.86 cents per hour. Hard to beat the price and it is so reliable.

Just press ANY button while they are yakking and they will shut up. It switches you to the next menu or it starts ringing.

Where's the ANY button? I'm looking at my phone and I can't find it ;-)

I think the pound key (#) does the trick.

P.S. We've used the Wally World / AT&T calling cards for several years, but are looking for something different after they went to 25c / minute for in-state calls (but do maintain the 5c / minute for inter-state).
