On front loader, lift cyl on 555D. How does the end come off. There are two notches in the end that comes out and a little 1/8 inch rod or wire sticking out the side of cylinder about an inch or two from end. Do you pull this out and unscrew it?? Thanks for any info. LB

If you will turn the end with the 2 notches it should force the wire out and if not the wire has to come out anyway, then carefully with a hammer and chisel the end will come out of the tube. The wire is what actually holds the gland in the tube.

Yep, just take the wire out. Take the hoses off, grab the cylinder rod and jerk it out. May have to hit it a time or two if is rusted in at all.
