Terry
I actually have a rockall 1958 which I just got running last weekend. as I understand it they used the engine and driveline out of a 3 ton army truck. I have a dodge 6 cylinder flathead 6 with dual exaust. hydrolic drum rear brakes. the tractor runs very nice. I also live in Edmonton and have yet to find any information on the Rockall company. Anything you find would be appreciated.
regards Ken

If this"s the Rockol with the Chrysler Cptn running gear it"s one of the derivatives of the 1935/36 CO-OP tractor effort, taken over by CUSTOM, some of which were sold in Canada as Norseman, Regal and Rockol (and perhaps others). (The Cockshutt CO-OPs were not part of the Chrysler Cptn running gear family)There"s a wealth of info in the archives here, but I"m not sure if there"s one post that has a relatively complete history. One does exist on another site; I"ll run it down and email. If you want to research yourself start with the 35/6 CO-OP, then Custom, Lehr Big Boy, Wards exc their twin-row, Jumbo/Simpsons Jumbo,Love, Friday, the three Canadians listed above, OMC (Amos Osterberg"s OMC), Closson and Wilson. Others may know of more.
