Hi Ryan, I did not read your add for the tractor, did you allready give out your name and phone number on the add, then no harm done, scammers usually want your SS# or something like that. Maybe it sounded strange, but if he doesn't ask for your bank acount or SS# then all your info could be found in a phone book. Usually they want to send a bigger than larger check and and ask you to refund the difference, in the meantime, your check is invalid. It is hard to tell if this is the case, next time just establish phone conversation before doing business with anyone and a COD or prepay policy. Even on EBAY auctions the scammers are killing ligit sellers.

Funny , I had a very similar email last week & I'm not even selling a tractor .I emailed the party back in a very similar way as you did . He didn't write back so apparantly he didn't want to discuss the matter anymore . It makes a person untrustworthy anymore . God bless, Ken

if you look towards the top of the original email, it says he's in Amarillo, TX and in his typed out question response later, he is in Maryland somewhere.

If it helps lower your blood pressure to try and screw with them, then go ahead. Personally, I don't waste my time.
