In the early 50"s a neighbor on our Indiana farm had a tractor with the seat offset to the right. I do not know how old the tractor was at that time. I think it was orange in color, but might have been weathered red. Anyone know what kind of tractor it might have been. Thanks.

go to tractor photos to the left and do a search for the model listed and see if any look like what you saw years ago

Allis Chalmers,WC-WD-WD45 all Orange OEM, Allis Chalmers B had a wide seat so you could scoot to the right if needed, Farmal A&B-Cub-140 all Farmall Red OEM,International Models were Yellow or Yellow and White, All had seats to the right of center. Don't remember any Case Tractors with seat to the right or left, and I owned a CC-SC-DC and a VAC and they all sat in the middle of the Tractor. My rememberances from days gone by.

Case made a model VAS, that was an offset cultivating tractor. Seat was offset to the right.
These offset tractors were commonly used for one row cultivating in vegetable and tobacco fields... Gene

Could also have been some early Allis Chalmers. The WC and WD had seats mounted toward the right side, but not as far offset as the previously-mentioned Farmalls. Suggest you look at a few in the photo galleries, and you'll probably spot a similar one.

Could have been either an A Farmall or a B Farmall. The A had a wide front end and the B had a narrow front end, but they both had seats offset to the right. The A's rear wheels were set a lot closer together than the B's rear wheels.
