I'm working on a 1953 Allis Chalmers WD45 Deisel. It lost all the hydraulic fluid. I'm trying to find the spout to refill it. Is it the one with the little short dip stick that has ram stamped on it?

It also lost a lot of gear oil. Any idea how to refil that?

What's the best way to get an operators manual?

The transmission/rearend fill is on the left side of the transmission by the clutch pedal, square head plug.

Your problems are probably related, the seal between the transmission/hydraulic section probably let the hydraulic into the transmission and over filled it letting it leak out somewhere.

the 45 diesels was not made until 1955, get a owners manual and a shop manual for the tractor from you local agco dealer. also find out why it lost all of the fluids, may need to replace all of the oil seals on it.

You're right. Serial # would indicate production end of '55'. Ordered operators manual thursday. Already have shop manual.

Look to the top of the left column on your screen. Under Marketplace click on "Tractor Manuals".
