The snapper is, once more, shooting fire out the exhausst. I remember that last time I pulled the head on it, that valve looked fine to me, and it opened and closed properly. However, around that valve it was as charred and had all therese little "holes" around. Is that normal? I couldnt chip it out with a screwdriver. What do you think?

If that snapper is without a muffler, you will see flames at the exhaust. A compression check, or leakdown check will tell a valve story, not flames. JimN

You need to lap the valve with lapping compound and or work it over to get more gap between the valve and the lifter. Most small engines to get the right gap you grind off a little bit of the end of the valve
