I have a 99 yukon denali and the hoses to the rear a/c unit are leaking in a couple of places and the GM dealer wants a fortune to replace the line and eliminate the rear unit to just use the front unit but i was thinking is there anyway of just replacing the hoses myself but i would need to get fittings and all to match any ideas Thanks in advance Ryne

I have a Ford 350 Van with rear AC. Five years ago the hose to the back starteds leaking andthey wanted a small fortune to replace hoses. I used some rubber sealer for Auto AC twice and have completely sealed up the hoses. They work fine still. Try to get one from an Auto supply place that just works on rubber but I also fixed a friends old buick with a dual purpose sealer. Try that first before going to any repair place.

Find yourself a good local repair shop. They will probably be much more economical then GM.
