Man , this area just cannot seem to attract any rain, Heaavy rains were to the north south east and west again, some areas recieved 1" in 30 mins or less. I didnt get enough to even be able to measure in the rain gauge. Most of renters corn is now brown on top so its a lost crop. Most beans would have been ok if they got some rain today, but these storms are the last chance of rain for over a week, I dont think the beans will be able to hold on that long. How are the rest of ya doing at this point in the game?

I was in St. Cloud yesterday. I know it is dry up there, but didn't know it was that bad. Keep doing a rain dance. Maybe that will help..

I live right in the middle of Michigan and we have not been able to get a rain most of the summer. We must have a heck of a hi pressure front from canada keeping the moisture out of our areas. It really makes you mad to see it hit 20 miles south or north and not touch us at all. I was watching that big storm over Wisconsin tonight and thought it would come across and hit us but of course it is pushing down to Chicago again for the 100th time this year and making sure Milwaukee,Chicago, Detroit, and Toledo get plenty of rain for their storm sewers. Michigan is really just a desert surrounded by water on all sides! Hell, it doesn't even snow here. Most of the winter is a dry barren wasteland. Got to go to the "snowbelt areas" to be able to ride a snowmobile. I think we should let the couple of million deer have Michigan and everybody go to Arizona, pipe the great lakes water down there and let this place turn back into the swamphole desert that it wants to be so badly!

Same thing here. Weather people have been forecasting rain, and celebrating the areas that have been getting some nice rainfalls.... We got .011 inches WOW! Last week, same thing. That"s about all we"ve had all month. My second cutting hay isn"t going to be. What I cut, even the first field hasn"t come back at all.

I know how you feel. Luckly We got a two 1" showers the past two weeks. Up until then, we had about 2 inches since may 1 in sprinkles, here in northern IN. I'm guessing for somewhere between 50-75% yield on corn. Beans are plenty short, but they seem to be growing pods good. Winter wheat was about 50% of normal. We'll see.

Goodhue county just got skipped too tonight(my home county). The storm went strong to the north and east and then the southern tail connected over Olmsted county to form the big long line. I am getting very irritated by this anymore..... ..:(

I feel your pain. The same thing has been happening to us in Southern Wisconsin. It sounds like it is going to happen again tonight. Talk about frustrating.

Dave you must live around me. I live in Monticello and for the last two years the rain seems to come down I-94 and splits just above St. Cloud. This last {BIG] rain barely settled the dust.

Same in SC. Some dairys are cutting corn silage. Spotty, some poor, some fair. Rough estimate from just driving by is that the silage corn is 60-75 percent of normal. Too soon to tell about the few soybeans I've seen.

We've had usable rain twice since the snow melted March/April. One shower was 1-3/4" and the other 1-1/4". Plus 4 or 5 useless sprinkles of 1/4" which were evaporated away and the ground dusty again before sunset. Only the earliest planted crops have any hopes. The winter wheat harvest was average.

Sounds like my part of Ohier .
we either get a tenth or a 1 inch in less than 10 min. I'd be darn glad to get the inch now any way it came .Yesterday we had thunder north , lighting south . They both got over a inch ( less than 5 miles away ) I got my tenth . Most corn here has been yellow all summer . They say its been so dry the N didn't work .

Its real bad here too. Last thursday got a bad storm wind blew down lots of trees power lines, many barns ,but got NO measurable rain. Corn is long gone any not planted early is brown and no tassele. Beans are a little better in that they still have some chance. Most beans are half size if in a wet spot. Beans in a dry spot are brown and ankle high.
