I'll go along with everything below. I have a straight 1600 and 2 50 series Olivers. No real weak spots. Just a good dependable everyday use chore tractor. Any parts that you can't get from Agco are available aftermarket or used from Maibach,Korves Oliver,Agparts First....several others. If you need anything, just ask on the Oliver forum.

Very, very good tractor. People that have them and give them proper maint. and regular service get many years of trouble free service from them. A very powerful tractor for it's size.

An oliver 50 series tractor is a good tractor. You will be surprised by the power and lugging ability. Theres a reason pullers love em.

All the diesels have a 283 cubic inch engine. Later one (spring of 67) have the direct injection version. There were also other changes made (kind of like a 4020 with and with out consol since your a Deere man) So how about a serial number. J.

One of the very best Olivers out there- we got two of them, and I'd highly recommend them. Agco always has these parts, along with salvage yards. Very good tractors.
