I have a International 1600 with a 14' grain box, 304, and a 4 speed. What would be a good estimate for it's weight empty? I'm not too keen on spending $30 to drive it to the closest scale.

Thanks!

Hey guys! I'm working on restoring a '69 Loadstar 1600. By chance would you know of any good sources for parts? (Mainly body and interior parts.) Mine has a 304, 4 speed, single speed and I'm wanting to use it as a tractor hauler for my Case L. Will I have enough power, or should I be looking into a bigger engine?

Those old binders are tough! It won't be a problem to haul your Case w/the 1600. Back when I was in college, I worked for the state park system in the summer. They had a '62 1600 w/304 & 4X2. I drove it a lot of miles with a 340 utility that had a wagner loader & loaded tires with wieghts & a counter weight on board-a combination will weigh a lot more than your Case. That old 1600 never had a problem with it, even on some rather steep hills, but once in a while you'd have to kick the 2 into low range. When we put the same load on the "new" truck, a '64 Ford w/330-4&2, it couldn't handle the hills without having to down-shift, it simply couldn't do the same hill in 4-2 low like the binder could in 4-2 high.
