HI Gang;
This is a DB 1190, one of the last before the name change to Case, (note the small Case badge on the lower grill) This was the smallest of the range based on the successful DB885 48HP 3 cyl diesel. Quite a rare tractor in its time, not big sellers compared to the equivalent MF, IH & Ford sized tractor. The cab was made by Secura who also supplied cabs to Marshall tractors

We had 1190's here marked with Case and David Brown on the hood. The 885/995/1210's were the same way. My uncle traded a good Case 830 row crop to an 1194. I think it just had Case on it, and it was a pure lemon. Everytime we used it to move rolled hay it tore the lift up in it. I like that cab.

Thanks for the photo & comments. Wouldn't mind having that one "in the barn". GG

Thanks for all your great pictures you post. We have a 1690 Case. That's what the decals say, but the casting on the engine block clearly marks it as a David Brown. Has a rather goofy range shift,as well as pto engagement, but is easy on fuel and a pretty good tractor overall.
