Hi Gang;
Right now its the middle of the MONSOON SEASON ! LoL. We've had the wettest June in 150 years, and July so far aint far behind. Serious flooding everywhere. 2nd cut silage & haymaking is way behind, and the grain crops in central & eastern England have been flattened.
Sheep are big here in recent years. The younger lambs go for the chops & leg joints for Sunday lunches. Old worn out ewes go into Indian curry!
The wool is almost worthless, not even paying for the cost of shearing.
Send us some warm dry weather westwards instead of the rain weve been getting for the past 7 weeks. David

David, sounds like you're in bad shape as our guys in Texas, and Oklahoma. Sorry to hear it's so bad over there. Thanks for responding. Doug N

The last time we had sheep, we didn't get enough from the wool to pay the shearing bill either. You have to shear them though. We got out of the sheep business. An old man told me the only thing on a sheeps mind when born, was finding a good place to lay down and die. He also said it better be close cause their feet stayed to sore for them to walk very far to die. He wasn't to far off.

We had the driest winter and spring i can remember here in south Mississippi, but for the last 3 or 4 weeks its been rain daily. Any where from 1/4 to 1 inch daily..... . almost as if we are in a monsoon season. Go figure.
