Hey guys, I know with the knowledge of all the old timers (and I say that with all due respect and then some...)on here someone has got to know a "cure" for my problem. After too many years of working on tractors for a living and too many more still left to go I think I've got myself a case of bursitis in my left shoulder. Yes it's a self diagnosis in that it fits all the symptoms I've ever heard or read about, and if it's something worse and I'm gonna die in a week I don't want to know about it anyway...LOL. Anyway, short of the old Bengay or whatever rub, and using the arm as little as possible to limit the nagging ache, are there any helpful "cures" you guys know of? Any and all relevant ideas are appreciated.

Something called Xango. It's Mangostein juice, drink about 2 ounces a day. My shoulders ached like a toothache, couldn't lay on them. My brother had the same problem from driving a truck all day,he turned me on to it,worked for him too, worked in about three days.

Don't mess with self diagnosis or home remedies. I had the same problem almost 5 years ago and did the same thing . The bottom line was I had a couple tumors in my spine. Get yourself to a doctor pronto.

Blue emu works well for me! (Walmart usually carries it.) Or you could spray windex on it-like in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' LOL! Greg

Spray it down good with WD40, yep it works but hope your wie doesn't mind the smell. Or horse liniment the type that when you pt it on you taste in less the a minute, not for human use so your know it has to work or kill you either way you stop hurting. Or one last one. Get a bucket of warm water and put your head in 3 times and pull it out twice. Cures every thing from the common cold to cancer. LOL

Old, I know an old man in Cynthiana, Ky that uses wd-40 and swears by it. He says that is the only thing it is good for.

ever since i was 17 i had bursitis in my left shoulder and on and off. for 40 years i rubbed it down good with "Dr.Naylors " horse liniment and cured it virtually over night. I KNOW RIGHT ON THE BOTTLE IT SAYS NOT FOR HUMAN USE ! so i will not recommend it to any one to use on themselves, i`m just relaying what i had done. over the next several years i got those cortisone shots from the doc. and they worked well. this january i blew the shoulder out but good and had surgury done to fix rotor cuff and torn tendons,,,after surgury the doc.told me that for a 55 yr. old man, my shoulder had virtually no sign of any arthritis at all and aked what was special in my diet to cause that,, i told it was not in my diet ,,it was out in the medicine box in the barn! only draw back to using it that i knew of was the wife told me put it on and go sleep out in the swamp,,the odor is strong.

I've had good luck with a hot bath.. a medicated rub of your choice ( bengay-aspercreme.. tiger balm.. etc.. ) And naprox sodium.

I used to do the chiropractor thing.. but found out there were like drugs.. ya get adicted to them.

Ocassionalyy I will get a massage.. perhaps 1x to 2x per year.

I've had a few soft tissue and cartilage damages from farm work and other injuries.. and so far this has gotten me thru ( cartilage injury DID require some medical visits.. etc.. ) wasn't too pleasent for a couple months.. but i got over it ( for now ).

Aloha, I used to work with a guy that always complained about a sore shoulder. We told him he better get it checked out by a doctor, but he kept putting it off. After little over a year, he was diagnosed with cancer and by then it was too late. Get it checked out by a doctor to see what's up.

Mahalo,

I may get blasted by some, for posting this.. It might be worthwhile to visit a Chiropractor..I have had several conditions in my life, that have almost incapacited me.. Once, my left shoulder got to the point that it was just locked up.. Everytime I moved it, Terrible pain, and I could actually feel and hear it grinding.. I went to the Chiro every day for a week, by the end of the week, I was a new man.. It was all caused by a pinched nerve and some cramped muscles in my neck.. He sure did get me in better shape !!!

Wont blast you about chiropractors but Yhey keep you coming back until the insurance runs out I had terrible shoulder pain in both shoulder for years and they could not help me but always siad one or two more treatment would help. My advice is to go to a legitimate and younger orthopedic surgeon for that pain. I finally waited so long before I did that I have had to get two artificial shoulder in the last couple of years. If I had gone to them before, I would not have progressed to that point. They will treat your shoulders to prevent damage to cartilege and muscles. They dont just operate. They also treat.
