I am hoping that some of you have a good way to remove bugs from the front of your vehicles. All of the store chemicals I believe are a waste of money. They promise results but they hardly remove any at all. Up in NE WI the bugs are pretty thick and my daily driver is looking to have a two tone paint that I really don't care for. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

WD40 409 or any thing with a high PH will loosen bugs to remove them ,but some bugs refuse to come off . I manage 2 carwashes and this is what I have my best luck with . just try your local car wash and use there presoak that will remove most bugs if you hit it twice and let it soak as long as possiable then hit with high pressure .

Hi Gang;
I use metholated spirit - smells awful but cleans off bugs & tar, and can be washed off with soap & water. Importantly it doesnt affect the paint. Ive got metalic paint and its fine on that.
Cheers David

I have a product called Fresh Start 2000 that I use and it works great and does not harm the finish or the wax. Call this number to order it 1-877-281-0797.

I have several collector cars and two late model trucks. I use a special scrubbing pad (bought at wallyworld) to remove bug splatter. It is basically a knit or fishnet like material over a foam pad. Works really well. Something else of interest--I saw a plant expert on a local TV program and he said that a tree didn't leak sap. The droppings seen under the tree, or car, was actually droppings from aphids. These insects live on the underside of leaves. You can spray the tree for insects and eliminate the problem.Thought that was interesting.

3500 psi power washer! Coca-cola is actually better than anything you can buy at the store and you can buy a 2 liter bottle for a $1.00. BUT... now you got sticky pop. If I don't feel like getting out the power washer, I will let car sit outside at night when the DEW is heavy, and right away in the morning, around 6:00am, the wet bugs will wipe off. I also heard that vinegar works.

try a pre cleano, or final wash typr product from your local body shop paint supplier. its the cleaner you use just before you paint a car. will ot harm the finish. it takes tree sap off pretty good

I"ve had good luck with WD-40. Spray it on and let it sit in the thick areas, then wipe it off.

mine is going dress shopping tonight, knows what she wants but now she's going with the other girls to see what they like. Still gotta get a dj but we're going to see the priest next Thurs, got the dining hall and a good deal of the rest. makes it hard when I basically work 2 full time jobs and don't have much time to help her out.

Just put our bands in a safe deposit box today too...

Well you have got alot more done than I do. we got a hall, dj, photographer, and she has her dress. still need bands and should go and see the priest sometime. I am originally from the UP and she is from Cecil and I wanted to have something where it would be easy to find for my family that has to travel. I made the comment just tell me when I have to show up and I will be there. LOL seems to be working so far

mine made it quite clear that if I tried that line I may be hurting a little more than normal- I gotta make a few calls this weekend to try to find a dj. We also gotta get in contact with our photographer to get our engagement pictures taken. I wanna get a few out in the field with the 1600 and the nice corn in the background. Corn looks pretty nice this year too.

As long as I'm not late for my own wedding like dad was, I should be doing alright.
