Great photos...also it"s nice to see such clean equipment operating in the field. Where I am in South Louisiana it"s rare to see a working tractor not up to the axles in mud.

Allan, how did the wheat turn out? What little is around here was on the thin side this time. I didn't have any to thresh, but some neighbors were telling me it made about half what they usually get.

It's really pretty wheat with good color, but just like everyone else around here, I could tell the yeild was down.

I just binned it and didn't weigh the loads, but I'm guessing "thirty-ish". I'll know better when I haul it to town this winter.

So Allan what're you going to do with the straw? bedding or feed?
It's gotten dry enough around here that guys can't get enough hay so they are baling straw to mix with Brewer's grain --what's left after the alcohol is cooked off. Say it makes real good feed.

I use it to build a "wall" on the windward side of my corrals to keep that cold wind off the critters in the winter.

Am always pulling it off the pile to use as bedding also and I was running a little short.

At $50 a ton, I really should be selling the darned stuff tho. :>)

Oh yeah,

This is the cab I rebuilt last winter when we shipped that 1066 down to Iowa Gary.

Heat and/or air will run ya outta there. Sure feels good too. :>)

Allan,

Thanks for posting all the pictures you do. I really enjoy them. I'd rather be in my own field than in an office, but this is as close as I'll get for awhile.
