This is a heads-up for those traveling across South Dakota. Friday, I spent an hour at the South Dakota Tractor Museum in Kimball, SD. Good place to visit and I wish I had more time to talk with the friendly staff. They have a nice collection of about 40 JD, AC, IH, Oliver and other tractors along with various implements, farm equipment and several older cars. It's free, but a donation is gladly accepted. Location is off Exit 284 on Interstate 90. Can't miss it as it's about 300 yards south of the Interstate. Mark - Shelby Twp., Mich.

I stopped in there last year on my way back to Idaho from Mankato Minnesota. The people there have a complete Blacksmith set up in the back too. Even have a Little Giant Trip Hammer made in Mankato Minn along with a lot of other smithy tools as well. One of the older gentlemen that was a founder of the club fell off the roof when they were building the new building and is paralyzed from the fall. His wife and another lady were tending the place when we went through. Donations keep the doors open to the place so stop by and enjoy your visit. That club keeps it spiffy. Lots of information on the signs in front of each display. The land for the club was donated by the farmer that lived adjacent to the set up and there is even an original one room school house from the pioneer days set up in it`s original config with lots of photos. This group did a fine job and I`ll visit again on the next trip through there. You won`t regret stopping for a look see. TAKE YOUR CAMERA !
