Granted, it is a tuff place to be in July, but, if you take your time, walk slowly, and drink plenty of liquids, it is well worth the time. People come from Maine to California to spend the "week" in Denton. I have been going for almost 20 yrs. A lot of repetitive stuff, but I have never found it anything but interesting, because there is always something I have never seen before. Plus, you can get good deals on tools and parts for oddball situation if you lookn hard enough. I have taken home a lot of stuff that I would have a hard time finding anywhere else.

Hot and one of the most expensive shows I have ever attended, we went last summer and it cost $12.00 per person to get in the gate, I will never be back there are much better shows with more reasonable prices other places in the USA, I gotta go

I have never been, but all I hear is about the folks that pass out from heat & dehydration.. This fat white boy knows he better stay home..

The October show at the WNC Ag Center is well worth going to..

You mean the jockey lot at the Ag Center? IMPO, its probably the worst show the whole year in our area. Geared towards pullers, since they have a pull, and just intirely too much unk being sold. Denton is decent, but I wont go back since I passed out myself there.

I agree its the worst show in this area. Mostly junk dealers, very little tractor stuff. It takes me 2 1/2 hours to get there and was sorely disappointed

The only reason I go now is when I need parts. There were some nice old trucks there, but for me thats pretty much it. Im sacared his hobby has come tothat though. One of my neighbors has gone full time on the road selling parts, and whats even worse is he had several tractors that he could have easily sold, I know I would have bought them all, which he tore apart and is hauling the parts around the south. one was a nice JD G, a Farmall F30 and a Farmall 300.He has other out there now just waitng for him to get home to tear apart.I offered him $2000 for the 30 mainly because I learned to drive on that tractor and it belonged to a close uncle of mine, and its kinda famous, its in CH Wendallls 150 Years of IH. Wouldnt sell it whole, but told ne I could buy it in parts.

My mother called me the other day and metioned the Denton show...she lives south of Winston. I told her, ain't no way I'm going this time of year...I'd roast!

Seems to me that most of the shows are held in the hottest time of the year, never did understand that. Looks to me like early spring and fall would be the most enjoyable times to have a good show. Even a dog knows when to find shade...I hope I'm at least that smart.
