Just got off the phone with a pleasant young guy trying to earn a paycheck from one of those boiler room telemarketer type places, only he wasn't selling anything, just doing a survey of what herbicides I use and how I rate them. Well it was the usual boring question and answer stuff for the first few minutes until suddenly their was a shrill cat fight of voices in the background and my interviewer went silent. after about 20 seconds he said "this is hilarious, the boss caught one of the other operators on his private cell phone and is in the process of taping the cell phone to the wall" . After things got quiet, we went back to finishing the interview. Something new every day. :-)

I usually do phone surveys when asked. I figure Everyone is entitled to their wrong opinions, but mine are less wrong than most.

I have, however, cut the survey off in the middles if they go signficantly longer than they told me it would take, or if the questions are so stupid and convoluted that it becomes clear to me that they formulated the questions to make sure they get the results they want.

When I get survey calls, I explain to them that my consulting fees are $150.00/hr, that I need a P.O. # and an address to send the bill to. That ends the survey real quick.

Yep next they will be at your door asking to see your pesticide application license.

What would be wrong with that ? Don't tell me you apply restricted use pesticides without the proper training and permits. Doing it any other way just invites more restrictions on owner operator application of pesticides.
