Anyone have any recommendations for a good cheap ISP for dial up ?

My old one was Allvantage and was pretty good and only $5.95 month but like most good things it has come to an end and sold out to People PC and I don't think I'm going to like them so far the trial sucks. suspose to be 5x faster ? I don't see it ?

Those 5x faster accelerators work for many people but don't for some. Seems to depend on the computer and phoneline. I really haven't narrowed down what the differance is.

The acceleration comes from cleaning up the web pages reducing fluff and reducing the often excessive resolution in pictures, then remembering pages locally. That local cacheing doesn't help for news and weather or forum pages that change each day.

ispwest.com $9.95 a month by the month, less if paid by the year.

Hughes net $59.95 per month. Old provider was $25 and monthly phone bill was $$35 - 40 month dropped both and speed went from 25 to 30 kbs to 100 - 150 kbs.

I have high speed dsl through verizon for 16.99 a month. Compared to dial-up, its blazing fast. I'm always connected and I have never had any issues with the service. Plus i'm in the middle of nowhere and I can get it. If you can get verizon service give them a call.
