Hi Gang;
Here is a new wall being constructed around the old churchyard. The old wall behind was thin slabs of slate. The new wall comprises of irregular shapes of the local stone, held together with concrete. Between the two walls will be soil for a flowerbed.

Have to say much of that concrete bears a mighty resemblance to plain old dirt.

David, I saw a program on public TV about Wales, and slate was a big business years ago in Wales, and now they give tours of the old mine.
