I just purchased a kubota L-260 and would appreciate any info about this tractor. I am looking for an owners manual. Also has anyone put a loader on one of these?

I have one with a "Freeman" brand loader on it and it works great. I am amazed at what I've been able to do with it. Like removeing (10 year old) stumps, alder and maple et c. I didn't add it myself, it was on the tractor when I bought it. It has 2100 hours on it and still is running fine. Although I had to rebuild the water pump this spring. A new water pump was $300, but the parts were under $20. Got lucky again.

I have the same vintage L225, and searched for manuals one time. I would get the Kubota manual, not the I&T. The I&T covers 5 models (L175, L225, L225DT, L210, and L260), and is about the size of a small magazine. If you are not already an experienced mechanic, don't waste the $40.00. Find a Kubota dealer and get the factory manual for about $70.00. Much thicker and more detailed, and just for yours.
I have seen loaders on L175's and L225's, but I am sure you can find one for yours. Ask the dealer.

BTW, if you hear the term "Grey Market", yours is NOT grey.

Check out the Kubota section on this board. They tend to cater to newer Kubotas here, but you can get some good info by posting to the board.

Thanks for the info Tommy D. I am trying to find the manual you are talking about, but I would also like to get a owners manual for info on fluids, adjustments, etc. Are the tranny and hydraulics two seperate systems. My local Kubota dealer is no help.
