Hi
I have two of these tractors, one bought and restored arround twenty years ago which I have shown most years ever since. I find them very powerful for their size and have covered many hundreds of miles with it usually towing something like a Fordson E27 N P6 and on occasion an Allis B as well. I also have the newer models such as the B614 and 634 which used the larger and even more powerful engine. Graet old tractors but often difficult to start from cold unless engine is in very good condition. If you want specific details or pictures just ask.

Hi Ralph;
Yes it sounds like the Farmall B-450 model, rowcrop style. I dont have any photos on file, but will look for a tractor and post photos whenever I can, they are rare here.
When IH started to contruct the 6 range here, they went through several model changes & names. But by the mid-1950's the design was out of date compared to other makes especially in the 3 point hitch area. Although very powerfull tractors, they were not good sellers against the Fordson Major & Nuffield in that HP bracket.
IH concentrated on the smaller B250 & B275 which were more modern designs and sold well.
Cheers David

Hi Ralph;
What do you need to know? Specification, production dates etc.
They are basically the old W6 standard style International built in Doncaster England with a British built 4 cyl indirect injection diesel engine. Pull a house down!!!
They also made a version based on the Farmall M tractor with the same engine as the standard style, most were exported and are rare in England.
Let me know how I can help you.
David

O. K. Last year at the Red Power roundup there was a Nice B-450 with an L-4Perkins. When I was in England 4 years we stopped at a man that had a TD-6 crawler with the engine you describe. Yoder & Frey had some of the B-450 tractors 30 plus years ago. I remember them setting along the north fence. Hower they were all rowcrop models not standard treads. David, Please do enlighten us. Thanks. J.

David, Thanks for the replyl I saw a tractor at a red power show that looked like an M. It was all rusted and had B450 painted on the hood. It had 3 point hitch and what looked like some kind of a lockout lever on the right brake drum. A lot of people were looking at it, but nobody knew anything. Any ifo would really be apprecciated. Thanks much, Ralph
