I am preparing to rebuild a 1964 Super Dexta 2000 given to me by my father. Can anybody who has "been there and done that" point me towards any helpful information(diagnosis, parts, instructions, etc.) The motor is not completely locked up. With a lot of pressure, I can turn the flywheel with a crowbar(after removing the starter), but it is tight. I've always wanted to rebuild a tractor. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined but I need help since I'm a carpenter, not a mechanic. I believe that my tractor is a good candidate because the metal is good, no rust, and no play in the steering wheel...if that means anything? After the engine is rebuilt, I plan to tackle the hydraulic lift.
