Hi Gang;
Some of the Gurnseys on their way to milking. The wife looks after these 86 cows whilst her husband looks after the rest of the farm. Cheers David

I enjoy your pictures, David, they are really great! But, you must find out where our dairy advertisers got the Talking black and white cows that they use on milk commercials! Thats where the money is! And now, they have multi-colored cows, to advertise ice cream on TV! Better do a thorough search! Rusty Jones

The french cow is huge. Grand dad hand milked Jersey's in the 30's, 40's, early 50's in Iowa. Brothers bull would love that french fense. When in the lot his hot wires will not stop him. Enjoyable photo's

Hi David, I really enjoy your photos, thanks for posting them. I am curious of something though, I cant understand how there is any land left at all over there for farming since your area has been populated for thousands of years. Don't you all have urban sprawl? I figure that by now it should be so populated that all farm land would be full of Mc mansions and trailer parks.

Jean Pierre, Keep those pictures coming.I love all the pictures from around the world. At least we agriculturist have something in common no matter what part of the world we are from. We admire beautiful cows,bountiful crops, and the land that God gave us to be stewards of. I admire "David in Wales" and "Allen in Ne" photos very much.Maybe someday I will advance enough to be able to post a few pics.

Yes, a beautiful picture, indeed! Many times I considered being a dairyman, beginning in high school with those thoughts, but I never went that way. Instead, settled for beef cows. Thanks, David, and keep the pics coming. We all enjoy them!

Back in the 1930s when I was growing up we had pedigreed Jersy`s tracable to the Isle of Jersey. All were bred for the butterfat content of the milk. I still think they are the best looking of all the dairy breeds. I had a terrible time getting used to town milk after we left the farm!

Amen to that Bill! Only store bought milk I drank before I was 18 was what they gave us in school. A side note: we only had milk to drink with our lunch, and on special occasions it was chocolate!
