I got 2 out 3 racks painted and all the boards primed. and half of the painted.

Paint gets slick, hope you have flat fields! Knew several guys around here that covered racks with used motor oil. Put it on with a paint brush and let soak in. Wood soaks up the oil and water can't get into wood. Takes a week or so to get soaked in if you put plenty on. Turns the wood a dark color. If they set outside, do it spring and fall. Doesn't cost anything but time and won't peel off in a couple of years. My 2 cents, Chris

I sure hope those deck boards are very rough! I have stood on racks with painted decks while pulling bales behind a square baler before. Trust me, when you get a little loose hay on that painted deck, it becomes as slick as ice! Not good!
