Spent a few hours on the tractor bushhogging yesterday. Got real hot and sweaty. Thought of "Miller Time", so stopped at the local pub. Ordered a 12 ounce Miller - $2.00. Had just bought some gasoline - $3.20 per gallon.

Got to wondering how much a gallon of Miller cost. 128 ounces per gallon, devided by 12 ounces per bottle, @ $2.00 per bottle.

10.67 bottles @ $2.00 per bottle = $21.34 per gallon for Miller beer.

Since Miller Brewing is owned by a company from Venezuela and Venezuela controls a significant portion of the world's known crude oil reserves, looks as if they have the best of both.

I go across the road to the Gen store and buy a 40 oz bottle of beer for 1.93 tax and deposit included. There are some 40oz beers for 1.50 plus but they aint worth bringing home .Miller low life is poor stuff, use to call it ladies beer. You can buy a 12 pack of 12 oz cans of Steel Reserve beer for 50 cents a can.Best place to drink beer AFTER a days work is under the apple tree in a wooden lawn chair or in the kitchen while a nice looking wife is getting supper ready.Lite beer aint worth bringing home.

You were just paying for the opulence and ambience of your local watering hole (bet you didn't know it was such a cool place :>) I bought a 30 pack of Busch at the local discount grocery for $12.99, which comes to $4.63 a gallon. At the rate gas is going, I may have to stop travelling and just stay home and drink. Gas is already more expensive than milk, much to the disappointment of local dairy folk.
