Allan. Re your post below about your tractors and your question about what a Cub Loboy is: as I recall, IH took the flathead 4 cub motor and transmission, did away with the offset axles and bull gears in the back, and put in straight axles in the back. Driver sat in center, straddled transmission. They put a belly mount mower deck and painted it yellow. Made a good lawn mower but not as good as that 284. BTW, just be glad you had enough rain to require grass cutting.

The original cub lowboys were still an offset tractor, with shorter spindles and the rear axle housings rotated. The offset lowboy design went away when they brought out the 154.

Actually, a cub LOWBOY is a regular farmall cub that is still offset and the rear drop housings have been laid flat. It's just a lowered farmall cub.

You're talking about the yellow 154 which used a different frame but the same engine and tranny. The 184 is similar to the 154 except they pushed more horsepower through the engine.

The Lowboy name gets confusing. The original lowboys were lowered cubs, then they came out with a lowboy that that was not offset, but preceeded the 154.

It was really starting to get dry here again.

Currently under a heavy severe thunderstorm watch until midnight. Hail, high winds, lightning, etc. Don't care as long as it just rains. :>)

neighbor next to mom and dad's place owns a chevy dealership. in the 80's looked like he bought one of ever small international made up to one or two sizes bigger than your little one. looked funny he mowed with one, rake on another, baler on third one, couple more to cut the grass etc.
