Here in middle Ga. it has been dry since the end of Feburary. We got a inch two weeks ago and it came in about 5 minutes. There has not been any hay cut in the area and it looks like that none will be ready for a while. My 1st cutting last year was after the 1st week of July and there were no 2nd cuttings.

I just cut hay this weekend in Maryland, I don't want to see any rain for a few days.

Here in Queensland, Australia, the big drought drags on. There is still a bit of sorghum and cotton to come off but area and yield have been much lower than normal. A few people have dry planted oats but nothing much else is happening. Summer has lingered longer than usual but it is starting to cool down. Rain forcast for early next week.

Over to the Southwest side of Minnesota the farmers are just finishing the planting. Got hit with 2" + couple weeks ago. No problem with grass turning brown. Some spotty showers between Pipestone, MN and George, Iowa today. Think I should mow real soon.

I am near Edgerton. Went to George to visit some friends last night. Showers were scattered and around 6 or 7. Some people I know down that way are the Hendriks and Don Kramer.

Here in SE MN its very dry. The last rain was april 20 and that was only .5 inch. Grass is starting to turn brown and the hay is starting to show stress. I'am going to run out of pasture around July 1 with no rain. People that do have hay to sell have a long list of people wanting to buy it. Looks like I will have to start culling cows pretty quick if we don't get rain soon. Its never been this dry this early in my 35 years. On the good side the corn looks good so far. Every kernal came up and there is moisture down aways but thats going to turn south soon to with out rain.

I lost count, but it has been raining for 4 or 5 days now. I don't do hay crops anymore but the gardens are getting ready to float away. We need a few days of warm weather soon or I'll have no flowers for the stand.
