Anyone got a clue what oil goes into a Gravely 526 transmission...Can't be sure what came out..Just sorta " glucked " out.. Thanks , Roy

My guess would be 90 wt.

He"s right. They were all 90 weight unless summer was last change, in which case it was prolly 140. Need to know whether there is any brass or phospor-bronze in the box, or wherever, in which case do not use an EP oil.

Roy,
Any good 30 wt oil will work in this transmission. Some even us Rotella in theirs. I use Castrol 30 wt in mine.

These are great machines. I have a garage full of them, mostly model L and a few L1, 3- 408's and all sorts of equipment for them. Been enjoying them since the middle 60's.
