Got to the last 30 acre field to work with the cultivator, and it was to wet. Thats why I left it till last.(:~{)

So today wasn't the day to get done with corn.

Will switch to beans tomorrow and come back to that corn field in 3 or 4 days.If it don't rain some more.

Finished my beans (maybe) this evening. Going to go try 12-15 acres of corn yet - ground needs more attention than I wantewd to spend when there was good ground to plant beans in. If that don't work, it will end up beans....

we had been wet earlier now has turned dry. we get a couple of warm days than goes back to cool. it is to be in 40s over night the next few days. i think i'm going to need to buy more hay as grass is pretty much at a stand still. i'm still putting hay in front of cows. if i let them have just grass they would be soon have it shorter than my lawn. i have talked to a few other guys that run some cows and they told me same thing they're putting hay or silage in front of cows. we need some warm rain and temps. shifting gears i got an e-mail from old we need to pray for him and family as his dad is not doing well.

Gary,

Seems like some people never get a chance between rains to plant their corn. The same people, once they've planted their crop, then see no rain for weeks afterwards! Sure doesn't help complaining.
Take it easy.
