I herd a loud noise that woke me up and I never hear any thing when I sleep. I get up to investigate and find the misses at the bottom of the stairs in a heap with a puddle of blood. She apparently stepped or tripped on the sleeping cat on the stairs and fell down the stairs. Spent the rest of the night in the ER. The end result is a 2 day stay in hospital for observation. Of 4 broken ribs stitches in her elbow banked up knee and a badly sprained wrist. I have never seen a hand palm turn black and blue like this one did. The moral of this story is TURN ON THE LIGHT at night and look for the !@#$!!@ cat.

we have 3 cats that come in house they somebody must have thrown out as they all knew what litter box is for when they got here. keeping them out is about like bailing water with a bucket full of holes. tc likes to rub on back of your leg when working at sink or stove i'm afraid someday i'm going to fall or trip on him. i put up with them as they give mrs 730 to think about other than her m.s.

No fun getting hurt. It's tough on the rest of the family having to pitch in and help ontop of their regular duties. Worse yet if the injuries leave you crippled. Over doing it while healing damages the body just as much as no exercise. Going to be at least another month myself before getting the cast off. IF everything has healed up.

Cats and dogs in the house cause alot more accidents than just stains in the carpet. I have heard of several others that fell down stairs or just fell over their pets.

NE, i'll pray for her recovery. I know cats are just a pain in the a$$ and I will shoot that cat dead if my wife ever had such a situation

Oh my! OH !!!!! You must know my grief and prayers go out to you and hers for her hurt. I can't talk about cats or anything. This is too intense. Oh her swollen hand and wrist. Oh that fine Lady. She coulda broke her sweet neck but didn't. I'm so glad you are there to get her from those injuries. This hasn't been easy for you either. I must say you are strong. This is some tough stuff. Stuff happens out of nowhere-screw cats.

Sure sorry to hear of the fall. Happy that she will be OK. A fall like that can be fatal as I am sure you both have thought about. We hope she is well soon and home for mother"s day.
