its not too bad to reverse the wheels to get it on the trailer, i end up doing it myself, take some pb blaster and some axle grease with you, spray up the clamps real good, then grease the axle shaft. jack up one side of the tractor and block it. loosen the clamp, roll the wheel around till it breaks loose and then slide the whole works off, spin it and slide it back on, its a lot easier if you take the clamp all the way out of the hub. AND!!! be careful !! check to see if the tire is loaded with water and calcium, if it is, that sucker is real heavy!!! if it starts to go over, you cant stop it.

I haul M's out at 92 inches on my 83 wide trailer. I had a guy cut two 6 foot long by 8" wide and 6" high blocks. I taper one end and either drive or push the tractor up the blocks.
The tractor tires are then about half on the blocks and half over the fenders. It works just fine and you don't have to turn the wheels.

All depends on the trailor. My self I haul a good number of them with the rear wheels on the rails, but I have modified it so I can do that. Some times I have one wheel up on a rail other times both it just depends on the tractor

Old, I was assuming it had fender wells that were in the way.

My trailor has them but as I said I have modified it so I can put the rear tires on the fenders. Not all trailors will handle that but mine will now

That trailer of mine sure won't. I can almost sit on the fenders and bend them. I got tired of moving wheels in, so I built me one 8 1/2 feet wide, don't have that trouble anymore. I still use the other one on small tractors.

I've got a bigger trailor I start one, its home built but I never got done with it. One of these days I guess I should get back to it. It has a double C channel frame and 3 axles under it. I'm thinking about turning it into a 5th wheel type trailor seems like it would work better that way

They do work a lot better. moves the tonque weight forward and loads the truck more evenly.

Ya I figured that, being a retired trucker I my self prefer 5th wheel over goose necks any how. Plus I have 3 types of hook ups on my truck. Bumper, goose neck and 5th wheels. Been thinking about putting on pindle hitch also but don't know if I will or not. If I do get back to that trailor I built I'll also be moveing the axles so that they will be under the bed instead of haveing fenders sticking up and being in the way. At this time its 18 foot long, the bed that is and 8.5 foot wide. All three axles are set up for brakes but I'm sure they don't work at this time but thats just a matter of playing with them and maybe replaceing a magnet or 2

You can get by with turning only one rear around as long as the other is in as far as it will go. I have done this many times on a 6 1/2 foot trailer.
