A very interesting subject by Jim K down below(armageddon)I think the world as a whole is goin' south because of the more than subtle global changes(polar ice caps, greenhouse gasses, etc.),but anyway..... ..... ..... rrlund brought up another interesting subject.Miracles.

Does any one have anything to share?Do you guys believe in miracles or divine intervention?

I'm pretty sure I've witnessed smaller scale miracles, but I think any farmer like me who raises crops or livestock has also. We've made it through hail, drought, flooding rains, fire, and the threat of mortgage forclosure in the 80's.I think that's a miralcle in itself!!

I've heard people saying that every day is a miracle because the sun rises, the birds sing,a baby is born,etc.,etc.,etc.

Any thoughts or stories to share????? ????

It's a miracle my tractor still runs after all these years! Your religion is your business, keep it that way.

Some of the replies you see to your post are exactly what is wrong with this planet. It's a miracle they still open off topic post and then complain about it.

Whats wrong is that people think the rules don't apply to them, such as posting off topic items, while others condon the activity by supporting them.

Joe, I cant speak for most, but the reason I sometimes post Off Topic subjects on here is because I have real respect for the people on here. I look forward every day to reading every ones post, seeing the pictures. In a way this "tractor site" is so much more a "community", one that you can post whats bothering you, or get some thing off your chest, or just ask what others thoughts are, and most of the time you get good, honest, caring, helpful replies. For some on here I am sure this site and the folks on it are all they have for communication. On the "politics and off topic" site, there is mostly bashing, disrespectful post and replies which I for one do not need in my reading. Really, if ALL post were about repairs and fixes, or serial numbers, do you really think we would have all the good people and comradery on here that we do?? Even enjoy your post most all the time as well.

Couldn't agree more. The politics and OT site is so vile, offensive and sick,it makes ME sick to go over there. Every response over there is like the ones above. It would be nice to just have a discussion without the name calling and bashing, but I guess when you have nothing to add in favor of your position, you just get sleazy and attack. It was nice that Joe(TX) tried to start a friendly discussion anyway. Thanks Joe for trying, but some people are always going to try to show you just how smart (that's a laugh) they are.

I wish all you whiners and complainers would take this stuff to the Politics, Tractor Wars and Controversial Conversations part of this website.
I don't look at this site to hear someone who wants everyone to feel sorry for them or has an axe to grind.
THIS IS A TRACTOR SITE.

Two friends of mine both had nasty car wrecks in April.

Friend was driving an old acura, don"t remember the year. No seatbelt. Someone turned in front of him and cut him off, and he basically went through the windshield.

Another friend was driving a mid 90s S-10 on a highway. Some guy wants to go across the highway, but can"t see around a bus. The guy guns it and hopes there"s nobody there. Friend gets T-boned at 65 mph. Broke his left arm, just about shattered his left hip area, and won"t be able to walk for another 3 months. Seatbelt and airbag saved his life.

I do believe there is such a thing as a miracle. They don"t happen often, but when they do... you are grateful.

Kevin

I have received more than probably my share of miracles. God has a plan or I would have been gone a long, long time ago. Some can be explained by no other way than to call then God's miracles. Maybe when I have more time---. One completely unrelated miracle that I witnessed. Two cars hit almost head on. The northbound car spun and when the mom hit the door, it flew open and her tiny baby went flying out and the baby's parents saw the car pass over their baby. When both cars came to rest, the baby was completely unharmed. 1950s era before seat restraints for infants or seat belts.

I didnt think it was no big deal as it happened so fast but the other guy driving the steiger was about white as a ghost. I wanted to take a pitcher of it but MR J just wanted to get her back on her feet again before somebody came by and saw it. :o)

Interesting story to share (at least I think it is)... in 99 my brother and I both bought '98 model Dodge vehicles, I got a Neon and he got a Ram 2500 Cummins. We bought them within a month of each other without even realizing the other had bought a newer vehicle...

March of 2000 I rolled my Neon, I did not have my seatbelt on and was thrown out while it was rolling - I saw the car fly over me as I hit the ground. I walked away with a fractured ankle.

July of 2006 my brother swerved to miss a herd of deer and lost control. Went back and forth a few times, finally went to the ditch and a front wheel caught a hole by a culvert and flipped it over. Not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the pickup. He was knocked out but walked away with minor scratches and bruises.

Two brothers, two 98 Dodge vehicles, six years apart, rollover, no seatbelts, walk away. To my Mom and Dad and us that is a huge miracle or two.

Wow talk about two lucky guys! In the great state of New Jersey we have Idiots that drive without seat belts. The governor for one! I wear mine so I hope I will not go flying. I like to see posts like this as it makes you think and you can see that you are not the only bone head in the world. When You look and read how the morals of this country have gone down the old out house ya just want to cry. To the people who post and whine and cry if their little PC piddys are hurt, too bad. jeffcat

I learned from my mistake - I don't drive so darn fast anymore and I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt, even if I'm just going around the block. My brother, on the other hand, is still driving without his seatbelt. :o(

My brother did a number on his car back in high school. Him and a bunch of his buddies were drinking and smokin pot and went joy riding. Ended up puttin his Volvo in a neighbor's cow pasture. Only kid that got hurt got 3 stitches above his right eye.

They were buckled in which really kinda surprises me, but the thing that saved them was that the car took the impact and folded up a little but not too bad at all. Not very religous myself, but I do beleive there is some sort of higher power or guardian angels or whatever you want to call it. I know Grandma & Grandpa are watching over all of their grandsons and taking care of us.
