I can't get the tapered bushing to seperate from the rear wheel on my case 1370. Jack bolts per owners manual won't move the bushing! Help! Any suggestons?

If time is not important I had good luck this way. When we switched row widths some years ago, the wheels on our 1070 Case had not been moved on the axels for 15 years or so. A couple of months ahead of the attempt to move them, I started soaking them every few days with WD40, I think it was. I'm sure that tranny fluid or other products might be as good or better. At any rate, whem time came, they moved easily. Hope this helps.

Don't know if this works on a Case but it does on John Deeres.

Hit the end of the axle a hard rap with a sledge hammer.

The jar may break it loose.

Hit hard and square.
