I posted this on Oliver board but thought this would be a good spot as well. I copied and pasted the ? and replies so far. Ok , have OLI-Cockshutt 1850 with a last summer rebuild. Since getting back the sucker burns oil by the gallons, Today , spreading manure I used 1 quart oil for every 2 loads spread. The tractor was worked hard on the silage blower last fall, and now this spreader work. And some tillage last fall. So you would think the oil rings have seated. What the heck else could be causing this? It starts right up , runs strong, but is kinda noisy compared to the other Oli 1850 we have. Help. Valve seals? Some one said something bout the injector pump (oring)?? What could I check? Dave from MN 05-02-2007 07:57:08
