Texas road trip

Went to the Bob Wills festival in Turkey Texas over the weekend,his hometown of about 450 people,out toward Amarillo..roadtripped out there with my wifes aunt and uncle,her dad,some cousins..about 11 of us in all,900 miles roundtrip..went to the Caprocks Canyon state park,drank lots of good Texas beer,some good BBQ ,lots of live music.. it was great to just get away and relax for a few days..

Randy, yes it an annual event,last saturday in April,but the party really kicks off thursday evening..lots of music,good food,tractors,parade with the Texas Playboys..lawn mower races and pulls.. If your into that kinda music,it's a great time..we had a ball

Been going to drive my little tractor in the parade, but instead went to swapmeet at Texas motor speedway. Unbeliveable bunch of great old stuff. Sorry to miss the parade at Turkey...

Ken, wasn't many tractors there..a JD D,farmall BN and one guy who had a JD G,a Moline and a Farmall M all hitched together with towbars..maybe I'll see ya there next year..

And no Lone Star for me..haha
