Hi Guys,

Finally got this ol' bear rearranged, tweeked down, cinched up and adjusted just the way I want it. Put 'er to work for the first time today.

Was worried that maybe I might need some calcium in the rear tires, but guess not. It really handles quite well just the way it is and has plenty of traction even in the mud.

What's that smell anyway? :>)

When I saw that title,I thought you were right here in town. I hauled Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday, crossing in and out of the village limits everytime I crossed the field. Oh well, too cold and wet for anybody to be having a cookout anyway.

Looks good. By the way how'd the welding for the mounts go? and what rods did you end up using? Just curious. Dave

Oh heck yeah,

Went into town, got some 7018AC and planted 'em right on there. The only frustrating thing was that I had to be vigilant in constantly "adjusting my hand" to the unfamiliar rod.

If I ever stumble across that old rod that I used to use years ago, I'm gonna buy a pickup load of the stuff. Think you said it was probably 6011 Lincoln rod? Yes, it was a thin-fluxed rod that I used to buy in a 50-lb tin. Loved that stuff! :>)

That'd make some nice compost. Looks like you got er lined up, and runs the way you want it.

Look at the heap I made with this little thing, they thought I was a little crazy, I made a stockpile quite high, and ran on top of it, before I started turning it to keep aerated, sure kept my seatbelt on and the ROPS up, little bugger would push ok, little at a time, really need an articulated loader or a bigger tractor, like making this stuff, but you can do a lot with a little if you take your time. Sells at $25/ yd no problem.

Oh heck yeah,

Excellent fertilizer. Trouble is, it just doesn't go far enough.

Didn't know it could get that wet out there Allan.

That big bucket will fill the spreader quick.

A valuable by-product of cattle I guess.

I don't have anywhere to spread the stuff until after wheat harvest, so I'm just building myself some mini-mountains to get the corrals cleaned up. :>)

I've got a bunch of 'er to spread, but it'll just have to wait til this fall when the cows come off the stubble. :>(

I just wouldn't put up with that nonsense. That’s why I try to keep cabs on all my tractors that I use a lot. :>)

Looking like rain again here too. Let 'er come! Can't get enough rain out here in this wilderness. :>(

It's an old 6-ton Farmhand Powerbox. I've still got to yank the sideboards and mount the spreader attachment on it tho.

Don't think it has ever been used as a spreader.

Why take off the sideboards. I know you don't fill it that full, but at least it won't be losing "stuff" on the way to the field.

Mornin',

The sideboards would just be in the way.

I'll leave a 10" diagonal on the sides and build a headache rack of sorts at the front.
