Tractor Collecting---Visiting

This weekend I'm going to my 30th high School class reunion! I went to a boarding school about 100 miles away from here. Well do I remember the old geezers comming back for their 30th, etc., when I was a student there!

Well anyway, I was visiting on the phone with my best friend in my class the other night (who I've not seen for 20 years) and I was telling him of my tractor collecting/restoring. He was very interested and commented on how popular of a hobby it's getting to be.

I suppose I should know as well as anyone, but is this hobby gaining steam?...Tractor values increasing...? I still see some pretty reasonable/tempting prices in the photo ads.

What do you think?

I thought it has kinda fizzled down from where it was in the early 1990's ? Seemed like you could sell about everything for every model. Now it is a more selective market.

Glenn it is growing fast. Just look at the number of new tractor shows popping up everywhere. Around here they are developing the farm land and cutting some into 5,10 and 20 acre baby farms, and all those folks want a tractor too.

Yea,it's going strong. I just hope it doesn't fizzle out like toy tractor collecting did. Seems like their used to be a toy show somewhere every weekend. Good luck with the 30th reunioun. Be careful and don't do what I did a week before mine. I was laying on my back welding and set fire to my hair. The barber straightened it up best he could, but I didn't leave him much to work with.
