Hi, I want to pull 2 implements with my tractor and only have single hydraulics. I would like for both to raise up when I use the hydraulics. Can I tie both cylinder hoses together and run off of the 1 hookup on the trctor? Any other ideas if I dont have dual hydraulics, other than to leave the 2nd implement, a cultimulcher in the ground all the time, (except when backing up)

Thanks!

The simplest way to get 2 remotes is to get a 2 spool valve to hook into your single aux. and then use the new 2 spool valve to operate two seperate cylinders. My loader runs this way. You will need a way to keep the original single spool open. A good hydraulic shop can help you out. You could get a 4 way selector valve but they cost almost as much as a 2 spool valve and aren't as convenient. Dave

My tractor has only one remote control valve. It feeds to a selector valve which in turn feeds to two remote quick-connect pairs. I select which pair and then operate the remote valve.

Yes, like Dave says, the lightest will come up first. You must have a depth stop set to control the down position. Many of our large machines have like 3 wheels and 3 cylinders in the same circuit.

You can tie both cylinders together and it will raise both, The lighter machine will raise first.
or if both weigh about the same the one with the larger diameter cyl will raise first.

Hi Dave,

Do you think there is enough oil capacity or storage room within the tractor to allow for the fluid expansion/contraction that 2 cylinders will produce or use?

If they are double acting cylinders the volume difference will only be the volume displaced by the cylinder rods.
