What a difference a week makes! This is life in central NY. These two photos were taken out my front door just a week apart. Last Monday it was hovering just around freezing. The first picture was taken in the morning and by the end of the day we had over 18” on the ground. If it had been a little colder we would have had several feet more.
The next picture was taken this morning, one week later! Its now 75 degrees and the predicted high is 80 for today. We still have snow banks around but 95% of the snow has melted. Makes me wonder what’s in store for next Monday?!

I was about to reply with a comparison of today and last Mon. Till I see you're from the same neck of the woods as me. I think its safe to put the snowplow up for the summer , but I remember enough snow to need plowing on Mothers Day here once.

Hey;
Those are amzing photos, cant believe that you have such extreme weather within a few days.
We got our 1st rain today, its been warm and dry since 19th March. Nothing growing much. Local forage customer operator told me that 1st cut grass silage will be 3 - 4 weeks behind, one customer normally mows 40 acres, this year he will need 70 acres to get the same tonnage !
Cheers David

Same here Tim, I live in northeren Vermont, and I got some of that heavy snow last week too, but only a couple inches of it. The past 4 days have been absoulutly wonderful, within a few degrees of Tampa Florida, all thats missing is just some more humidity. Supposed to hit 80 here today too. Better get out and enjoy today, because it is supposed to drop back down into the 50's for a few days and rain. If the last 4 days are an indication of whats in store for this summer, I'd say it is going to be one heck of a hot dry summer, full of beautiful weather, I'll take it over last year when it rained pretty much non stop until June. Seem to be going from one extreme to the other alright. Need to think about getting the lawnmower ready!.

looks like what goes on in MD, we get ice storms one week, then the next thing you know, someone's calling about mowing grass. :-0
