Not familiar with the term "running overhead". Are you talking about valve adjustment?

Ya can get a book from Cummins on that engine that will explain it in detail. if it is in a 94 and up Dodge them last two holes are a real pain to do evenwith the special tools . It's been awhile since i have run the overhead on one so i would have to even look it up .

dodgeram.org---procedure for 12v is outlined in maint. schedule--don't see this for 24v--says no adjustment necessary,ck. @ 150,000 mi. may be same, just more valves? probably in there somewhere.

Sorta like 'running underwheel' means getting flattened into road pizza or being turned into a 'sail frog'.

"After running overhead, I took my Cummins for a spin through the hood, put two possums underwheel and jammed with the homies, grabbed a case of Bud and then chilled for the evening."
