I had to take my 14 ft JD disc apart to move it. The roads are just too busy where I live to road it. Now I have another possible job for it. The front blades have a lot more wear than the rear, which is to be expected. When I reassemble it should I move the rears to the front, or run the fronts way down, and replace with new, and leave the rear gangs where they are? I should have paid more attention to Dad when he was around. Thanks for any info. Stan

Depending on which JD tandem disk harrow you have the brgs may be spaced at different distances apart from front to rear gangs. Also the end pieces on disk shaft at opposite from nuts are usually different front to rear. Front gangs have what's called bumpers that gangs touch or rub. Rear gangs are built to accept furrow filler attachments. After you disassemble and reassemble disk harrow gangs you'll probably want to hire a helicopter to just fly it back home. Tx Jim

It does get your attention. We have a fork lift we use so it isn't too bad. Plus needed to replace a couple broken blades and two bearings. Stan
