Flared Steel Lines

The prior owner of my IH 340U replaced the lines leading back to the FastHitch with much-too-long hydraulic hoses, and I"d like to replace them with a couple lenghts of 1/2 inch steel tubing (so my battery will have a better place to sit). Should the flares be single or double, 37 or 45 degree? Also, can anyone recommend a good catalog of hydraulic fittings so I can plan out what I need. For me, pictures are always worth a thousand words.

Thanks

Paul

Hydraulics use JIC fittings which I believe are 37 deg. You need to use seamless hydraulic tubing only. A good hydraulic shop would have the tubing and be able to flare it. It's not too expensive and they could test it. They should be able to get you a catalogue of fittings. There are lots of them. Dave
