I know this will sound like a stupid question to some of you. What are the significant differences between a one arm loader and a loader with two arms? Until I have been on this site, I was unaware of the existence of one arm loaders, so I don't have a clue about them.

Many of the 2-arm loaders for the N's and similar tractors are of the 'jungle gym' style tube frame jobs. And you have to crawl all over them to get in .. like the cockpit of a ww2 air plane. Reason for this is most of the designs use the rear axle as a mounting point.. ( not al.. just some of them.. depends on the tractor it is being mounted to ).

The 1 arm jobs leave an entire side of the tractor open to get on/off and do not obstruct view on that side. Not to mention that they do not 'shroud' the hood.

The 1 arm laoders only use 1 lift cyl.. and run reasonably well off tractor hyds if needed.. as opposed to a 2 post design that uses 2 lift cyls ( more oil ).

The one arm loaders are a lighter duty type loader. My self I would never have one but I also do over work a loader a lot of times so I would probably have a piece of scrap iron fast if I owned one
