I am looking at a 1990 2500HD chevy truck. It has 90,000 miles, a manual 4 speed tranny, and the 350 gas engine. The truck is in good shape and has been taken care of. What are the good things or bad things about this truck? Was it a good truck and how much would i expect to pay for it?

I had a 90 back in 92 it was very dependable just one thing with the manual tranny ones there is a grease fitting under the tranny that greases the fork area DO USE IT as it will ware fork out & then u have to pull whole tranny just to fix other than that i never had a problem & had 190000 miles driven also mine was a 62 diesel

brad i just gave in february 3500.00 for it. a 1990 one ton new body at that time.454 - 4 speed trans,410 rear axle. will move any thing I would ever want to hook on to. will eat fuel,ac was good at that time and mine is good, lots of after market parts and oem.gm had a good body style at time but left over drive train from the seventy, and the TBI was not a hole lot better than a carb.all in all easy to work on if you can interface in to a computer to it if a problem comes up.this is old OBD compaired to new new OBD2. i worker for gm dealerships for 32 years, so mine is old stuff to me. hope you think it out,and make choice in a new to you vehicle. joe
