Hi gang;
Another photo of the trip to collect the 35X. The view shows the countryside in North Somerset (county). Its on the opposite side of the river Severn Estuary accross from South Wales, very similar scenery to here. Note the tractor has been fitted with oversized 600x19 front wheels, these will be changed for the correct size 600x16s. Next job after that ROPS comes off - yes I banged my head on the top and my elbow on the upright. LoL
Cheers David

You mentioned "recovery" and I see it even says that on the bar over the truck cab. Is there an explanation of that term? Maybe connected to a government regulation or some type of law?

Oh my ratchet straps holden a tractor on. That grumpy old DOT cop out on U S 30 or that one female DOT cop down in south west ohio would nail ya to a cross no strap protectors not properly tied down , they would have to dig around in there trunk for a couple more pens and a nother ticket book .

Is ratchet straps not legal to tie down a tractor?

In Michigan, it's chains. Minimum of 4. And sized for your load. I use 3/8 chain on a 300U. I think I am ok, but if stopped?

A very nice looking MF35. I don't see a dent on it. Or are you showing us the good side? :>) You're right about the ROPS. It is a rather crude looking thing. Tractor will look snappy without it. Just make sure to stay right side up. I show your interesting pictures to my friend who flew helicopters out over the North Sea for Bristow for many years. He says it brings back memories. Thanx. Bill.

David, I'm really enjoying the pictures that you are posting. I never thought that I could or would be able to be homesick for any other place besides Texas. But your pictures sure are making me want to go back to the United Kingdom even if it's only for a visit. There are still a lot of places in the UK that I didn't get to visit. LOL, maybe I'll put in for an assignment back and tell the boss lady that I can't get out of the orders if I get them. Take care, and keep posting the pictures. If your ever in Suffolk, stop in at the One Bell on the High Street in Brandon and tell Alan and Marion the pub owners that I said hello. I was a regular there (along with a couple of the other pubs) during the five years I was living there.

David; Nice looking tractor and great rear tires ! Beautiful countryside, there !
Cheers! Jim B.in Oregon
P.S. Save those front wheels and tires, you might find the over-size helpful on some tasks !
