I've lived in this area now for 27 years and I have never seen weather like this before. We had snow this morning sure glad I haven't planted much of the garden yet, but most years it would have been tilled and would be ready to plant. They say the last frost in the area is the 15th but the way its been here lately I think I'll have to wait a little longer before the garden goes in. Sure wish spring would come back. In march we had 80 degree days not its back down around 32-35 most morning. Whats it like where you are>>???

Hey Old, good to hear from another misery boy on here. I"m about 35 miles east of you in Iberia, Mo. I commute to the Lake Hospital every day for construction work there. When I saw you post about snow this morning I knew you couldn"t be too far away. Take care.

It will move off east soon Old and sun will return. Sun came out here today finally after cloudy for day and half too. Had some snow last night also down to 30 but wet melting and gone already. We had snow last weekend too but this week went from frost to 75 in one day, wind blowing dirt storms, dry lightning with grass fires and then rain, sleet, hail and snow but that's actually normal weather for here in TX panhandle in April lol. 50s today, 60s Monday and then rain returns again. Better than a drought with no rain.

Get that weather squared away out there Rich, surely won't beable to help with the haying if ya keep getting all that white powder on the ground..:>)

Well I hope its the last of it for this spring but who knows for sure. We have gotten about 2-3 inches of rain in the past week so that will help if we ever get warm enough for the hay to grow. My wheat that I planted in my garden area is up about a foot so I will have to mow the garden before I can even till it up. Oh well the chickens will love that wheat grass and the garden will do better with the green manure also

20% at 7:00 AM this morning with a beautiful sunrise. Sunny and 52% now at 2:20 PM. The snow we had a couple days ago is melting and the grass is starting to green up.

Years ago we took and old house down and found a hammer and a gold piece in one of the walls. Don't know what ever happen to the gold piece or the hammer but that was also back when I was around 8 or 9 years old

If there's any thing on the face of this earth any more disgusting, sickening, or repulsive than snow, I've never seen it. The first snow I ever remember seeing when I was a kid, I hated; each day older I get I hate it even more. I've never experienced a day in my life that it was too hot for me. The hotter the weather, the better I like it.

Well if you 100 mile south of KC then that means your about 100 mile north of me, since I'm at the lake of the ozarks. April of 1980 I was counting my days off till I got out of the navy so I was getting short but still was in. I moved to this area in July of 1980 and have been here since

I'm actually 100 miles west and slightly south of Camdenton,MO.I'm 3 miles south of 54 hiway in the Nevada,MO area.

One Saturday in the middle of July 1980 it got up to 112 degrees here for the hottest ever in modern times. It toasted all the crops.

Ya 1980 was a very hot dry summer here also I spent a lot of time at Ha Ha tonka state park at the spring tring to keep cool, but boy that water at the spring doesn't keep you cool but it freezes you so you jump in then out and back in tring to keep just the right tempature. LOL You also have a nice salvage yard over your way or at least you di have a few years ago. I had to go up that way to get a gas tank and some other parts about 10 years ago

We were in Mansfield Mo in August 2000. It was showing 105 on the bank thermometer. That was the worst heat I've ever been in.Humidity was just too much to take.

Yea,I had hoped to be moved down there by the time I was 50,sittin' on a mountain watchin' my cattle graze. I'm 2 years behind that plan. Kids won't move out. They say thay are waiting for me to move out so they can have the place.

Your potatoes should still be ok. I had that happen last year and after a couple weeks they came back just fine. I have mine planted and did so on march 17th but they haven't come up yet so I know I'm ok unless of course the have rotted instead of growing of course
