f350 super duty clutch problem solved

posted last week about the f350 clutch, went to the floor, pulled the pedal back up and then hard as a rock and wouldnt dis engage. dropped the trans, the clutch fork was cracked and bent. oredered a new one from ford, about 35.00. new one was a lot beefier than the origional. musta been a problem they didnt tell us ablout.

This is a common trouble with Fords, both of my sons have 1999, one a F250, the other F450 and both have had this trouble, one at 35,000 miles and the other at 66,000 miles. Not covered by warranty because the trucks were to old.

I'm gonna check the slave cylinder on mine before I send it to the shop. Turns out I don't have to split it to get to the slave...good news.

Thanks for the tip, you may have saved someone else the trouble of taking apart a lot of stuff that ain't broke.
